The renovation of the Ashland Town Library will be a transformative project that significantly improves the community's access to educational and social resources. Most importantly, the renovation will address accessibility concerns, with the addition of more parking spaces, a direct and level access path, and the installation of an up-to- code ramp and elevator, making the library more welcoming for patrons with mobility challenges.
By expanding the Children's room, the library will have the ability to host more storytelling sessions and crafting activities, offering greater opportunities for children to engage with books and creativity. The creation of a local history room will provide a space where residents can learn about Ashland's past, fostering a deeper connection to the town's heritage.
One of the key elements of the renovation is the expansion of meeting spaces, which is an essential need in Ashland. These new areas will support a wide range of community groups and events, promoting interaction and collaboration among diverse populations. Lastly, the creation of a dedicated space for teens, equipped with modern technology, ensures that this age group has a safe, engaging, and tech-forward environment for learning and socializing.
The renovation will undoubtedly strengthen the library's role as a central hub for education, creativity, and community engagement in Ashland. Our goal is to improve library facilities and services while retaining the central location and familiarity of the current building.
