The Ashland Town Library is thrilled to make 3D printing, available to our patrons. This new technology fosters collaborative learning, intergenerational learning, play experimentation, problem solving and creativity.
The library’s 3D printer is available to make three dimensional objects in plastic using a design provided by the patron as a digital computer file or by using one of the files the library has on a USB Flash drive.
Only designated library staff have hands-on access to the 3D printer. It is recommended that you contact the library for an appointment to have your project printed. The cost is $2 per print. The print area is 6.5 inches in any direction. The library has limited colors of filament to choose from. The printer is an X-smart 3 printer by QIDI TECH.
The Library’s 3D printer may be used for lawful purposes only. The library reserves the right to review all files before printing and to refuse any request at the discretion of library staff.
